Asiros Nordic A/S launched a new fruit prebiotic juice powder, CherryShield, as part of a range of premium and organic fruit powders that support well-being, immunity, and digestion. Its health benefits are based on using prebiotic fibers such as Taiyo's 100% natural dietary fiber Sunfiber.
CherryShield is made from the Stevnsbaer cherry, which has twice as much vitamin C as oranges and three times the antioxidant content of blueberries. The polyphenol content of the Stevnsbaer cherry is 2.6 g per 100 g. Studies support its use heart, brain, and digestive health.
Studies have shown that the plant pigments help reduce risk of cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases associated with oxidative stress. Other attributed health benefits relate to modulation of the gut microbiota. The prebiotic benefits are boosted by the ISO-certified dietary fiber Sunfiber, which is derived from guar beans, and has been validated by over 150 studies to support digestion and healthy blood sugar.
CherryShield Premium and Organic fruit powders are free from maltodextrin, and versatile because the powders are water soluble, while the Sunfiber ingredient is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and non-viscous. The powder can be pressed into effervescent tablets or offered as chewable tablets, capsules, or gummies. The soluble agglomerates can be used in instant drinks and fruit teas, and for direct consumption, they can also be filled in sachets of 5-6 g.
CherryShield is the latest prebiotic juice powder to join Asiros Nordic’s BerryShield lineup, which includes Elderberry, Lingonberry, Aronia, and Red and Black Currant.
