Apparo Inc. (Eden Prairie, MN) has announced a joint development agreement with Döhler, a global provider of natural ingredients, ingredient systems, and integrated solutions. Apparo Inc. uses a patent-pending processing technology called the Total Crop Utilization system to upcycle protein and other nutritional ingredients from food byproducts. The company manufactures an upcycled sunflower protein isolate, called Solistein, using this process.The ingredient is Upcycled Certified by the Upcycled Food Association.
