AIDP, Inc. (City of Industry, CA) has been appointed the sales and marketing partner for International Agriculture Group’s (Mooresville, NC) NuBana RS2 green banana flour. A natural prebiotic, green banana flour is rich in resistant starch, a starch that resists digestion. NuBana contains a minimum 60% RS2 resistant starch, one of the highest concentrations on the market, delivering a range of benefits that include digestive health by promoting regularity, weight management through satiety and fat burning, and metabolic health by supporting insulin sensitivity.
NuBana is versatile, capable of replacing high glycemic flours such as rice and potato flour as well as wheat flour and maltodextrin for gluten-free applications. The green banana flour can be incorporated into supplements powders, beverage powders, bars, cold fill beverages, and raw vegan foods. “This new ingredient is an excellent addition to AIDP’s growing portfolio of functional, sustainable ingredients,” said Mark Thurston, president of AIDP, Inc., in a press release. “Green banana flour is widely recognized as a versatile and beneficial ingredient and will allow our customers to increase their digestive health offerings.”
