“The State of Family Nutrition and Physical Activity Report” is the result of research conducted by some of the nation’s top food, nutrition, and health associations.
An extensive research report on child and family eating habits has been published by the American Dietetic Association (ADA; Chicago) and the American Dietetic Association Foundation, on behalf of ADA’s Kids Eat Right Campaign.
“The State of Family Nutrition and Physical Activity Report” is the result of research conducted by some of the nation’s top food, nutrition, and health associations. The 30-page report highlights what kids are eating, where they and their parents are buying it, and when kids are eating throughout the day. The detailed report also highlights physical activity trends among the nation’s youth.
“[The report] presents troubling information regarding the foods and nutrients our children are eating too much of, or not eating at all, and the steps that need to be taken to improve eating behaviors and health,” says the ADA.
Support for ADA’s Kids Eat Right program is made possible by an educational grant from the National Dairy Council.
