Several MegaFood Whole-Food Products Verified Non-GMO
MegaFood’s Blood Builder, Wild Blueberry, Magnesium, Calcium, and Calcium Magnesium and Potassium supplements are now certified non-GMO.
Whole-food dietary supplements brand MegaFood has gained the Non-GMO Project’s Non-GMO Project Verified seal for several of its products. The third-party certification program assures that products adhere to best practices for avoiding genetically modified organisms (GMO).
MegaFood’s Blood Builder, Wild Blueberry, Magnesium, Calcium, and Calcium Magnesium and Potassium supplements are now certified non-GMO. Additionally, the manufacturing facility, FoodState, that produces MegaFood products also gained certification as a handler of non-GMO materials and products.
“Several of our MegaFood products have been submitted for the Non-GMO Project Verified seal, but the process is long and more complicated for whole-food supplements,” says Robert U. Craven, CEO of FoodState, makers of MegaFood. “While our entire product line has been non-GMO for more than five years, we are pleased to have these first five products certified by the Non-GMO Project and anticipate several more products will receive the same verification by the first half of next year.”
