Charles Ross & Son Company (Hauppauge, NY) has expanded its manufacturing operations in China and is already looking to grow further, with additional facility construction expected to begin next year.
The company’s operations in Wuxi, China have added 30,000 square feet of manufacturing space and increased staffing to reach a total of more than 165 full-time employees, according to Joseph Martorana, vice president of corporate operations. The expansion will enable the Wuxi subsidiary of Charles Ross & Son Co. to “more efficiently handle a surge in new orders from various process industries, particularly from Chinese battery producers,” according to a press release.
The company is also looking to expand its Wuxi operation further. Plans are in the works to relocate to a bigger facility, and construction on the new 200,000-sq. ft manufacturing plant is expected to begin in 2016.
There are currently eight Charles Ross & Son Co. production facilities located in the United States, China, and India. The company has manufactured industrial mixing, blending, drying, and dispersion equipment since 1842.
