NOW Foods will present a unique, educational display for attendees of the upcoming Natural Products Expo East trade show in Baltimore, MD, on September 13-15. To demonstrate the company’s “legendary” quality testing, it says company scientists will demonstrate, at NOW’s show booth, some of the analytical instruments the company uses to test the safety and quality of its ingredients and finished products.
NOW’s quality-control scientists will showcase the following analytical tools used to analyze substances for undesirable substances and contaminants: LC-MS/MS (liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry) for low-level drug residue and pesticide analysis, GC-MS/MS (gas chromatography/mass spectrometry) for multi-residue pesticide analysis and solvent residue analysis, the RiboPrinter for testing the purity of probiotic bacterial strains and identifying environmental isolates, and a molecular detection system to detect a range of pathogens.
NOW is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. As part of its anniversary fete at Expo East, the company will be giving away commemorative 50th anniversary NOW baseball jerseys and serving cake at Thursday at 3:00 PM. The company will also showcase its latest and featured supplement launches, including BioCell Collagen, Prebiotic Bifido Boost powder, Probiotic-10 & Bifido Boost, Advanced UC-II Joint Relief, and DIM 200. NOW Sports will introduce L-arginine & Citrulline Powder and Beet Root Powder products, which are Informed-Sport/Informed-Choice certified for absence of banned substances. On the personal care side, NOW will introduce Organic Castor Oil, Organic Grapeseed Oil, Bug Ban Essential Oil Blend, and the Let It Be Organically Essential Oils Kit. And in NOW’s food booth, the company will feature Coconut Water Slender Sticks, Organic Liquid Monk Fruit, and BetterStevia products (Chai Spice, Maple, and Peppermint Cookie).
