Natural products manufacturer NOW (Bloomingdale, IL) has received an award for manufacturing excellence from the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN). Specifically, NOW was awarded in the category of "Manufacturing Excellence, Large Company, Greater Reno-Sparks Nevada area." The company operates a facility in Sparks, NV.
EDAWN is a private/public partnership started in 1983 that works to help bring jobs to the Nevada region and to recognize the work of existing companies operating in the region.
Jim Emme, NOW's CEO, says the award recognizes NOW’s contribution to the Nevada region. “From the time we first began operations in Nevada as a distribution center to our Western U.S. customers, followed by choosing the town of Sparks to build our second manufacturing facility, the state of Nevada has been supportive of NOW’s presence in the community and appreciative of the new jobs we brought to the region. We’re pleased to be part of the Nevada business community.”
NOW has received other awards from EDAWN in the past, including its “Leader in Sustainability, Large Company” award in 2017 and the “Company of the Year, Large Company” award in 2014.
