Nexira (Rouen, France) will present four new scientific studies on gut health, urinary comfort, beauty from within, and sports nutrition at VitaFoods Europe 2022, taking place on May 10-12. These studies cover four of its ingredients, including inavea Pure Acacia, Exocyan, NutriBeauty, and ViNitrox.
Nexira’s inavea was found to improve constipation in people with irritable bowel syndrome, and also help alleviate constipation in the general population. Exocyan, an extensive range of cranberry extracts standardized to PACs (proanthocyanidins), was found to support urinary comfort and psychological status in 209 women with current urinary discomfort, including UTI episodes, medical consultation, and antibiotic treatments that were characterized as impacting quality of life. Positive results were observed as early as one month into the six-month study.
ViNitrox, a synergistic combination of apple and grape polyphenols, was the subject of two consumer studies which found that 70% of consumers agree that the ingredient reduces muscle fatigue and cardio-respiratory fatigue. Consumers also stated that ViNitrox increased their individual power during “clean” exercise from the first intake.
Finally, Nexira has announced a new study of its NutriBeauty range of ingredients, called In-Test-Pass. The firm says it is developing a specific methodology of combining gene expression assessment and a model that mimics bioavailability of oral ingredients to create a nutrigenomic for skin. The study found that Nexira’s synergistic blend of immortelle and clove, called Hepure, provide protection against pollution, cigarette smoke, and UV, its Hibiscus extract is ideal for skin tonicity, and its Oli-Ola is a great brightening ingredient that helps fight the effects of skin aging.
