Vinamilk has introduced Deliac Pedia, a dairy-based infant formula with probiotics for digestive health.
Probiotics developer Chr. Hansen A/S (Hørsholm, Denmark) and the Vietnamese dairy milk corporation Vinamilk (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) have entered into a new strategic partnership as of March 1. The first result of this partnership is Dielac Pedia, an infant formula containing the probiotic strains.
Dielac Pedia contains Chr. Hansen’s Bifidobacterium BB-12 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus LGG strains.
BB12 has been shown in clinical trials to relieve constipation and reduce effects of acute diarrhea. The ingredient is Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by FDA and is considered a “Natural Health Product” by the Danish Medicines Agency.
LGG is intended for gut health performance by improving stool consistency and reducing risk of diarrhea. Chr. Hansen states that over one hundred human clinical studies have been conducted on LGG and human subjects (from infants to elderly) with no reported side effects.
